April 6, 2017
The 2016/2017 school year is racing by. It is hard to believe that there are less than three months remaining. The year has been full of some great highs and some difficult lows. I know that the Work To Rule job action which began in December caused a number of disruptions to communication and other important areas of of school community. It my sincere hope that the efforts of our teachers and the overwhelming support that was demonstrated by parents will pay off and we will see desperately needed supports provided within our classrooms in the not too distant future.
I am exceedingly proud to call west Highlands my home away from home. I love being the principal to these incredible students and working with all of their families.
I look forward to the next three months as we finish off the 2016/2017 school year and prepare for the fall of 2017. The work never ends and I am blessed to be surrounded by a phenominal staff.
Yours in education.
Kevin Mapplebeck (Mr.M.)
